Welcome to the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources Sponsored Mast Survey System.
The primary function of this application (MAST) is to support the acquisition, storage, and reporting of mast crop data for Virginia and other eastern states. This collaborative effort is designed to deliver long term benefits to participating states and regional wildlife conservation projects by providing a standardized format for data collection and reporting which can be used to predict and evaluate changes in harvest rates (wild turkey), condition (white-tailed deer), reproduction (black bear) and other wildlife population parameters.
